"New Character" serves as a condensed summary of the first season of a non-existant television series. In this short film, we delve into the daily life of a young woman in her twenties navigating the routines of an ordinary office within an unnamed North American megalopolis. By pushing the concept of a broad target audience to its extreme,  the film deliberately creates a world that feels disconnected from reality. In the end, no one can unequivocally identify with the protagonist, thereby challenging conventional notions of relatability.

This project was partially created during a 2-week residency at La Bande Vidéo (Quebec City) in December 2023.
